This group of paintings evolved over a period of five years as I became intrigued with the possiblity of images that could come from the Vesica Piscis.
The Vesica Piscis is a geometrical term for the almond shape that appears when two circles overlap.
In the practice of sacred geometry, the Vesica Piscis is the shared center of intersecting circles of equal radii whose centers lie on each other's circumference. Of its many meanings and associations it is often considered the birthing place of all other geometric forms.
If we connect the two centers of the circles with a line segment, then we have begun the creation process. The birth of the line can lead to all other geometrical shapes, and so it begins.......
